A UNESCO heritage historic center and mysterious paths leading through canals and medieval buildings are creating this unique environment in Brugge. A combination of hot chocolate, swan lakes and history, this is what this city is made of.
Chocolate boutiques are literally all over this little place, which is full of tourists during high season in the summer, so it is recommended to visit better during the spring, but you have to be lucky.
Most times it is not as sunny as in these pictures, I was told that I was lucky to be there that time when it was so sunny.
And if you happen to visit the city, don't forget to buy a cup of local hot chocolate from one of the chocolatier's in the narrow paths of Brugge. But choose a shop that is unique, and is not just a commercial tourist attraction. Hot chocolate in Brugge was the second best I have ever tried (the first one was in Switzerland, Lugano).
And be careful with those swans! They may seem to be peaceful but if you get closer to take a picture they will try to "attack" your hand thinking that you are going to feed them. It happened to me more than once with these hungry pretty birds, one of the swans almost ate my camera.
